EXTREME INTERACTIVE HANDS ON CIRCUS SKILLS SCHOOL

THE ONE RING SHOW This is a one-day workshop, taught by one coach. Our circus coach will perform a 30 minute action-packed show to get the program started. Following the performance, the coach will lead a series of workshops throughout the day, teaching circus skills that can include: scarf juggling, ball juggling, plate spinning, diabolo and balancing. THE TWO RING PRODUCTION Two coaches oversee this program, which begins with a fast-paced 30 to 40 minute show. The two ring production can either be a one-day workshop or a full week-long, in-house residency program. Introducing the same circus skills as the one ring show, with the addition of stiltwalking, tight wire (low wire), clowning and basic circus pyramids and acrobatics. Circus finale will conclude the residency. THE THREE RING EXTRAVAGANZA Three coaches. This program begins with a 30 to 50 minute thrill-packed show. The three ring extravaganza is designed to be a one to two week in-house residency program. Introducing all of the same circus skills as the two ring production with the addition of the single trapeze (static, non-swinging trapeze) and Spanish Web. Circus finale will conclude the residency. CIRCUS FINALE The circus finale is a grand performance that allows all of the participants in the program to show off their newfound skills. Whether it be spinning a plate, juggling three balls, or climbing to the top of a pyramid, the students will all work toward a specific goal, while learning to work together as a cohesive unit to create the best show possible. Our job is to make sure that these goals are achieved, while keeping the circus fun and noncompetitive. We want to make sure that the students realize there is a goal, but to enjoy the journey as well. WE PROVIDE... CIRCUS COACHES Our coaches are all circus professionals who have traveled with circuses like Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, Big Apple, Cirque du Soleil, etc. or had formal training with an accredited circus school/gymnastics program. CIRCUS EQUIPMENT Cirque du Jour will provide all the necessary equipment tot each all of the predetermined circus skills. All equipment is safety-checked prior to the beginning of each circus program, and monitored on a daily basis. CIRCUS SET LIGHTS AND SOUND The circus finale will be performed in a real circus setting. We bring a 70-foot red-and-white backdrop, the circus back door, the circus ring and a circus ring mat. We also bring our own fully-equipped sound system with wireless microphones. Lighting for the show is included. COTTON CANDY POPCORN AND MORE (OPTIONAL) For the circus finale evening show we can set up our circus concessions stand, selling cotton candy, popcorn and all of the traditional circus novelties. A percentage of the gross sales is returned to the host school to help defray the cost of the program. A GREAT CIRCUS EXPERIENCE We have the experience, the equipment and the desire.
